The types of bricks are clay brick and concrete brick. Both of the brick are used for same purpose but it differs in the benefits provided by them. These both bricks vary in cost also.
Clay bricks vs. Concrete bricks
Comparing to clay bricks concrete bricks are cheaper in cost. The home owners get more benefit out of concrete bricks than clay bricks. Approximately he can save some hundreds of US dollars while purchasing concrete brick for constructing a regular sized home. Concrete bricks provide more strength to the building than the clay brick buildings.

Cost vs. Appearance
Concrete bricks are mostly preferred than clay bricks not only for its lower price but also for its strength and durability. When we consider about the appearance clay brick stand first. Normally clay produces heat which will affect the color creation in it. Well known to all, concrete bricks are produced in wide varieties with various color schemes (get color of your choice). Whereas in clay cricks only classical color like orange, brown, red and other earthen color can only be produced.
Durability vs. Cost
One among the main things that should be considered in choosing bricks is Colorfastness. Even though concrete brick are in different colors as it is dyed but due to effects of sun and rain the color starts to fade and the building loses its beauty. Whereas in case of clay brick, though it has limited color the color retain for long years. While comparing with the durability of color in both types of bricks the clay bricks get more points than concrete bricks. Though the surfaces of concrete brick are painted, due to wears and tears the discoloration will be revealed.
From the above discussion we come to know that, in cost wise concrete brick is preferred than clay brick. But in color duration wise clay brick is preferred than concrete brick as it retain the color for a long period.
Brick Shape Consideration
When you are employing bricks for decorative purpose then you are preferred to use concrete bricks as different shapes of concrete bricks are available in the market. Concrete bricks are very flexible as any design can be made out of it. But in case of clay brick only the traditional rectangle shape is available whereas concrete brick can be made in triangle, trapezoids, square, and octagon and so on. Concrete could also be provided in varieties of textures.
